AREA DIRECTIONS to The BROWN RANCH

FROM SAN ANGELO:  Travel 14.5 miles south on State Hwy 277 to Christoval.  Turn left onto Loop 110 that goes through Christoval.  Travel through Christoval and turn left onto RR 2084.  Turn right at Baptist Church to continue on RR 2084.  Go 1.8 miles south and turn right at entrance to Brown Ranch.  Sign:  BROWN RANCH, HUMMER HOUSE, TEXAS GEMS.  Enter and follow pavement to house.  There are quite a few trees on RR 2084 right-of-way near front gate.

FROM SAN ANTONIO:  Travel on Interstate 10 west to Junction.  Go north on State Hwy 83 to Menard.  On north side of river in Menard, turn left onto State Hwy 190 West.  Travel about 34 miles to RR 2084 North.  Turn right and travel 26 miles.  Turn left into Brown Ranch entrance.  Sign:  BROWN RANCH, HUMMER HOUSE, TEXAS GEMS.  Enter and follow pavement to house.  There are quite a few trees on RR 2084 right-of-way near front gate.

FROM HOUSTON:  Travel west on Interstate 10 to Columbus.  Take State Hwy 71 to Austin.  Travel on State Hwy 71 to Llano.  Travel west on State Hwy 29 to Mason and on to Menard.  On north side of river to Menard, turn left onto State Hwy 190 West.  Travel about 34 miles to RR 2084 North.  Turn right and travel 26 miles.  Turn left into Brown Ranch entrance.  Sign:  BROWN RANCH, HUMMER HOUSE, TEXAS GEMS.  Enter and follow pavement to house.  There are quite a few trees on RR 2084 right-of-way near front gate.
